more new homes

This has been the biggest week in the relatively short time of Vale-Irvin Homes. We have eight new home sales in the works. We have a lot of work ahead of us. I'm very excited. We seem to be moving up to the big leagues.

Eventful day

Today was a pretty big day for Vale-Irvin. First I purchased a lot that we'll use to build our next model home. This lot is very close to the three biggest competitors and I believe we'll get excellent traffic there. This could be a significant step in Vale-Irvin Homes' growth.
Also, several deals emerged today. Hopefully a couple of them will bear fruit. Our internet presence continues to evolve with the help of guru Joe Mononne. Overall, it's an exciting time for us.

Unhappy competitors

Yesterday I found out that more builders in my area are upset with Vale-Irvin Homes. The reason for their anger is that for a comparable size home, my prices are about 15% less than their prices. I have now officially been banned from building in two neighborhoods in an effort to help prop up the other builders' desired price. Fortunately for me, I have some really great neighborhoods where I own the lots already. Try as they may, Vale - Irvin Homes CANNOT BE STOPPED :-)

Today, we are scrambling to finish 4700 Ramhorn in order to close this week. As bad as we need the rain, I hope it holds out until this evening.

this week

This week promises to be hectic. My homebuilding partner is gone to the Houston Livestock show. Vale-Irvin Homes now has 19 projects underway and many are already sold.
Patriot Furniture is in the middle of production on the next ad campaign, "find your pot of gold". The further deterioration of the economy is very worrisome. I feel Obama's Keynesian, socialistic economic policy will have dire consequences to the longterm health of our country. Fortunately, I live in an area that doesn't typically ebb and flow with downturns like the rest of the country. Remember, Vale-Irvin Homes and Patriot Furniture are committed to customer satisfaction. Please contact me if you are a customer needing assistance

Today, we heard the news that part of the stimulus plan is to include an $8000 tax credit for first time home buyers. While I generally disagree with all aspects of Obama's stimulus package, this tax credit will definitely help the home building market and indirectly the furniture market. At Patriot Furniture, we are in the home stretch of our "Best Return" promo. At Vale-Irvin Homes, we are staging one of our recently finished homes and it looks awesome. Our presold custom homes (currently 5) are progressing nicely and all the respective buyers are excited and happy as they see their dreams come to life.
My investment group is in the beginning stages of an exciting project...Killeen's first mixed use high rise condo complex. I say hi rise...It's only three floors. If interest rates hold, we will probably break ground late 09

The warehouse work went well. Today, President Obama signed the economic stimulus plan into law. Hopefully it well lead to a better overall economy.
